Fidget Spinner
A flat toy with two or three arms and a button in the middle. You hold the center, flick an arm, and the whole thing spins on a bearing.

- A balanced spinner feels almost silent. If it wobbles or growls, the bearing is tired — that is a quality clue, not a feature.
How it works
The secret is the bearing: a ring of smooth balls (or a ceramic disc) that lets the inner race turn while the outer race stays in your fingers. Less friction, longer spin.
Once it is moving, angular momentum keeps it going. That is the same physics as a bicycle wheel wanting to stay upright. You added energy with the flick; friction slowly spends it.
Weight in the arms (the “flywheel”) stores more of that energy. A well-balanced spinner does not shake, so less energy is wasted as wobble.
It is a demo of friction, mass, and momentum you can hold. One flick stores energy; the bearing spends it slowly as a spin.
